Penterghast was a small time crook for most of his youth, however he finally got caught and was about to be sent to the mines when one of The Children spoke for him and said they’d like to give him a second chance. He’s been a member ever since.
He does have his useful talents, disarming traps, unlocking doors, chests, and lightening pockets. He’s of course not supposed to do any of this anymore unless directed to do so by a superior.
He also has a strong love for ale and women, and he very much enjoys a good party. Sometimes he’s prone to distraction and forgets his duties. For this reason he is usually paired with Children who are task minded and can keep him on track.
